1. 31 year old non-smoker with emphysema and chronic liver disease.
2. 40 year old diabetic man presents with tiredness, arthralgia, ankle swelling and SOB. Blood tests show a raised ferritin and reduced TIBC.
3. A 45 year old lawyer presents with jaundice, pruritus and raised ALP, hx of ascending cholangitis. AMA negative, p-ANCA positive.
4. 25 year old female complains of malaise, polyarthritis and mild fever. O/E: palmar erythema, spider naevi, hepatomegaly. Ix show high IgG, anti-smooth muscle and ANA positive.
5. 55 year old British man develops jaundice, spider naevi, ascites and splenomegaly. Liver bx demonstrates cirrhosis. He drinks 4 pints of beer a week and denies any recreational drugs. Recalls being involved in a major road traffic accident in 1989.
